What is Tantra?

Tantra is elegantly simple at it’s core. It invites us to bring consciousness to that which was unconscious. That is all. And it is enough. From this consciousness we find the building blocks to fulfill two great desires:

*Know who I am

*Love myself

Tantra is not about learning something new, but remembering who we are. And what we are: Complete expressions of divine love.

Tantra a journey of uniting of our heart and mind. body and soul. sexuality and spirituality. Tantra supports the release of guilt, shame and fear which hinders us in fulfilling our purpose and experiencing maximum joy and ease in this life.

The word Tantra is derived from Sanskrit root “tan” meaning to increase, expand or stretch, with tantra meaning to weave, loom or woven together. Thus it can be said to mean we increase as we bring together, we expand as we integrate. Tantra is a path to embodied bliss. It is a path of Yes. Tantra is the only practice which includes everything. Excludes nothing.

The practical application of Tantra to our modern lives offers the key to find the freedom we yearn for and intimacy of connection we desire.

Do you belong to any specific tantra school?

No, we are a mix of independent teachers who come from a variety of backgrounds of tantra including teachings which are relevant but not branded “tantra” at all. Tantra include anything which helps us to be more present and in ease with all that we are and all that we feel.

May I come to the festival alone or should I bring a partner?

In fact many people have their very first experience of tantra at a festival, because it is go at your own pace & you have a choice of workshops or to relax versus committing to a journey with one group or teacher. It is also the perfect place to get many flavors & styles of tantra so you can discover what is for you and what is not.

Can I come and teach a workshop?

We are full at this point, but sometimes add based on ticket sales or a facilitator dropping out. It never hurts to message us and share your desire, so we have you in the awareness for next year. Best is to participant and give the staff a chance to meet you and show you are committed to being part of the festival, as those who teach here are in service first.

What are the lodging options?

We have shared dorm rooms of 4-6 persons each. There are a very few (10) double rooms. You can book these as two persons (message separately with roommate request if you booked tickets separately) or you can book one bed in a double and be assigned a roommate. It is also possible to have a private room by booking the double for yourself - all these options at checkout until they are full.

What do I need to bring?

Best to bring a refillable water bottle, change of clothes as you may move, dance and experience sweat or changes of body temperature, your own items of comfort such as yoga mat, cushions and sarong, cash for vendors, a sense of humor, open heart and your curiosity!

Please do not bring any intoxicants, drugs, alcohol, etc. We are creating an environment where we can dive deeply into our senses – dulling them with intoxicants will not be needed and will inhibit your experience and be grounds for removal from the festival.
